Sensory Integration Therapy

Comprehensive, evidence-based services designed to support independence, recovery, and meaningful participation in daily life.

Understanding the Therapy

What Is Sensory Integration Therapy?

Sensory Integration Therapy is a specialised form of occupational therapy that helps the brain learn to process sensory information more effectively. Developed by Dr. A. Jean Ayres, it uses structured, play-based activities to improve how the nervous system responds to touch, movement, sound, and other senses.

  • Sensory modulation strategies tailored to the individual
  • Attention and self-regulation support for daily life
  • Play-based therapeutic activities in a safe environment
  • Collaborative goal-setting with families and carers
  • NDIS-funded and self-funded sessions available
