How It Works

The AT Assessment Process

Getting the right equipment starts with a thorough assessment. Here's what to expect when you work with us.

1

Functional Assessment

We assess your current abilities, daily routines, home environment, and goals to understand exactly what you need from an assistive device.

2

Trial & Prescription

Where possible, we arrange equipment trials before prescribing. This ensures the recommended device is the right fit before any funding is committed.

3

Funding & Sourcing

We prepare NDIS quotes, liaise with suppliers, and guide you through the approval process so the right equipment arrives without unnecessary delays.

4

Training & Review

We provide hands-on training for you and your support network, then follow up to ensure the equipment is working as intended and goals are being met.

Funding Information

NDIS & Assistive Technology

Assistive Technology is a funded support category under the NDIS. Depending on the complexity and cost of the equipment, different approval pathways apply.

Low-cost AT (under $1,500) — Can generally be purchased directly from your NDIS plan without a formal assessment report.

Mid-to-high cost AT (over $1,500) — Requires a formal AT assessment report from a registered occupational therapist. We prepare this documentation as part of our service.

Complex AT — Powered wheelchairs, ceiling hoists, and AAC devices require detailed justification and NDIS approval. Our team manages this entire process on your behalf.
