Advanced Pressure Care and Customisation

The Adjustable Equagel Cushion features EquaGel®, a dry-polymer gel arranged in a series of columns. When pressure is applied, these columns buckle and distribute the load to surrounding columns. This unique “column buckling” technology is designed to provide excellent pressure distribution, which helps in preventing pressure sores and maintaining overall skin integrity. This cushion has a two-layer design that includes an adjustable pelvic contour. It comes with two different pelvic contour inserts, one 1-inch thick and another 2-inches thick, allowing users to customise the level of pressure relief under the ischial tuberosities. Users have the option to remove an insert to create an effective Viscoelastic V-Well for specific needs or keep it in place for a contoured closed-cell foam feel.

Comfort and Protective Cover

Beyond its pressure-relieving qualities, this cushion is designed for comfort and practicality. It is encased in a cover that is fluid-resistant, vapour-permeable, and fire-retardant. This multi-functional cover protects the inner gel cushion while allowing air to circulate, and it can be easily wiped down for quick cleaning or machine washed for thorough hygiene, ensuring a clean and comfortable seating surface.

Sizing Options

The Adjustable Equagel Cushion is available in a comprehensive range of sizes to suit various seating requirements. Options include common dimensions such as 16×16 inches, 18×16 inches, 18×18 inches, and 20×18 inches, extending up to larger sizes like 22×20 inches. These different width and depth combinations are available with cushion heights of either 2.5 inches or 3 inches, allowing for a tailored fit to the user and their chair.
